The State government has informed the Kerala High Court
that appointment of Biju Prabhakar as Food Safety Commissioner has been
dragged to the court because his action had made the hoteliers improve
their hygienic standard. In a statement filed in
response to a writ petition challenging the appointment of Mr.
Prabhakar, the government said that the posting of an officer was an
administrative matter and a prerogative of the government.The
government said there had been a lot of improvements in the running of
hotels and restaurants due to the timely action of the officer.
